BUILDING HEALTH DOCTOR
Status: Ongoing
The Building Health Doctor Project is one of the projects completed within the Fırat Technopark. The project resulted in the development of an integrated software system that automates and optimizes building-based sensor placement design in building health monitoring systems (BHS), and performs engineering verification by collecting data from the field. The software optimizes sensor placement plans and develops algorithms that determine where accelerometers should be located and on which floors.
The resulting product is an AI-powered modular software incorporating sensor placement algorithms, data integration interfaces, modal analysis tools, 3D visualization modules, and engineering validation components. A flexible integration system was established, supporting data formats from different sensor manufacturers and enabling synchronization via API. An engineering-focused interface presenting sensor locations, building models, and vibration parameters in 3D was completed. System performance was validated on real data through tests conducted on a pilot building. As a result of these outputs, the developed software has emerged as an innovative product that shortens sensor placement time, increases engineering accuracy, and eliminates manual calculations in structural health monitoring projects.
